Little Bundles Of Joy

I've been dying for it for such a long long time... ever since my old one finally calls for an early retirement. What am I talking about? Oh! My brand new phone, Sony Ericsson's C510 Cyber-shot™.

Sony Ericsson's C510 Cyber-shot™ has finally reached the market. This phone was unveiled in Las Vegas, USA back in January 2009, posing for end of Q1 market... which it lives up to its expected date of arrival. It hits the Hong Kong market about 2 weeks ago ( I've tried to look around the famous/hot seller handphone stores here in Penang, they kept telling me "NOT YET" or "What's the model again?" ), so for those ardent Sony Ericsson fans in Malaysia, you have to make due to wait for a few more weeks before this baby hits the Malaysian market.

The beautifully simple C510 Cyber-shot™ features include:

1. Reliable 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot™ camera

2. Smile Shutter™ – clever technology that detects a person’s smile and immediately takes the photo!

3. Face Detection – focusing technology of up to three faces at a time

4. Auto-rotation – alter the landscape and portrait view by rotating the mobile phone

5. Snapfish by HP – pre-installed application allows users to send print orders from the phone to Snapfish and have quality photo prints delivered to their homes

6. YouTube™ enabled – upload your videos and images straight to the web

7. Photo Fix – adjust light balance, brightness and contrast simultaneously

8. SMS conversation style – see your entire SMS conversation history at a glance

9. Slide in lens cover and illuminated imaging Shortcuts

10. Auto focus – takes the best shot

Now this baby has 2 colours; Future Black and Radiation Silver . It's pretty light, lighter than my older phone. Although there will be some form of adjustments from the old phone to the new phone, I guess its still pretty easy to use once I get a hang of it.

The box comes with lots of goodies. Inside, there's a charger; a headset; a memory card reader; 1GB memory card; a handphone pouch; not one... but TWO batteries and of course a few booklets of "how to use" directories.

It's competitor, the C903 Cyber-shot™ which will be released in a month or two, is a sliding phone, carries 5 megapixels, 3 colours (Glamour Red, Lacquer Black and Techno White), slightly heavier than C510 ( C903 is 96.0gr while C510 is 92.0gr ) and of course all the the stuff that C510 has to offer. However, I am pretty happy with what I am having right now. This baby will stick with me for a few years before it retires. I'm happy with a Sony Ericsson. It ceases to amaze.
